It was so much fun to see the framing bring to life what our floor plans show...
Unfortunately, the nice weather abandoned us and winter reared its head on February 19th. Framing was stalled when temperatures dropped into the teen's and we got around one foot of snow in our house, yes inside our new house. We had a snow removing party with our contractor, Scott, to hopefully allow the framers to continue, if Mother Nature would cooperate.
It seems to have helped, as the trusses have been delivered; although the wimpy, inexperienced driver dropped them off outside of our property because he didn't want to drive his big truck in the snow, which did not please Scott. He wasn't very happy at all!
Scott arranged for our land to be plowed... (you can see the trusses outside the iron gate)
Now the crane driver can access the trusses, carry them to where the framers can work on them and then load them onto the house. All this is scheduled to happen tomorrow and Wednesday. We are excited to get the house "dried in" so we can start moving forward at lightening speed with the interior details. I'm hoping we will be in the house in June...maybe move in over Memorial Day weekend????
