Last October I recognized I wanted go back to working solely as a nurse at the bedside, so I resigned from my management position and went back to the bedside within my same ICU. This was a wonderful reawakening of why I had become a nurse and also reminded me of how nice it is to schedule nursing shifts so I could have blocks of days off.
My newly discovered free time allowed me to be brave and pursue a potential hobby which I never thought I would really do... Over the past few months, I've been working on writing a book and today I published it as an eBook, Living Without Limits, a memoir by me (the actual title says Andi Jones)!
Years ago I recognized that my fear of taking chemistry was preventing me from becoming a nurse and decided to do something about it. That took some serious courage, as it required me to leave my already established career. The courage from that decision carried forward and urged me to pursue athletic endeavors I never dreamed possible, eventually carrying me across the Ironman Hawaii finish line. My memoir hopes to inspire others to not let their "chemistry" prevent them from achieving whatever their "Ironman" may be.
It is an eBook on Amazon.com - just search for Andi Jones.
